Become a Corporate Sponsor

Your Tax-Deductible Donation
We welcome donations from corporations and organizations that are interested in supporting our mission and educational activities. All monetary gifts are classified as tax-deductible charitable contributions.

The benefits associated with each level of sponsorship will be customized to meet the needs and interests of your business.  For example, if you are interested in sponsoring a named lecture series, we will work with you to ascertain that the topics addressed in the series are relevant to your corporation's interests.

Benefits Associated with Sponsorship

Bronze Sponsorship

Corporate donors who give $10,000 will have their company name and their level of sponsorship posted on the FABBS website, as a public demonstration of their support for our sciences.

Silver Sponsorship

In addition to the benefits of Bronze sponsorship, corporate donors who give $20,000 will be given the opportunity to be listed as a co-sponsor of a FABBS event.  These events could be lectures, discussion panels, or debates.  If you were an event co-sponsor, meeting materials distributed prior to and during a FABBS lecture would have your corporation's name appear as an event supporter or sponsor.  This sponsorship of a public event is both a demonstration of your strong support for behavioral and brain sciences and a unique opportunity for advertising and publicity. At this level of giving, your corporation may be listed with other co-sponsoring corporations who have also lent their support to FABBS.

Palladium Sponsorship

In addition to the benefits of Bronze sponsorship, corporate donors who give $30,000 receive the opportunity to be listed as the sole sponsor of a FABBS event.  For example, meeting materials distributed prior to and during a FABBS lecture would have your corporation's name appear as an event supporter or sponsor, without any co-sponsoring corporations.  This sole sponsorship of a public event is both a demonstration of your strong support of psychological science and a unique opportunity for advertising and publicity

Gold Sponsorship

In addition to the Bronze benefits, sponsorship at the $50,000 level awards you the opportunity to solely sponsor two events, e.g., lectures or a cafés.  Topics of these events, and selection of scientists who will make the presentations, will be discussed and agreed upon by the FABBS board in conjunction with the sponsor.

Platinum Sponsorship

In addition to receiving the Bronze benefits, corporations that donate $100,000 or more will be given the chance to have a series of four FABBS’ events, with their business named as sole donor.  This kind of lecture series provides your corporation with a continuous stream of positive publicity and will provide consistent name recognition.  Topics of these events, and selection of scientists who will present their data, will be discussed and agreed upon by the FABBS board in conjunction with the sponsor.

Named Endowment
A corporation, organization, or individual may arrange for a named lecture series at a one-time cost of $500,000.  This lecture series will run in perpetuity and will be called “The Corporation X Lecture Series” to be advertised and promoted using that identifier.  An annual lecture will be held in Washington, DC, and the speaker will be a distinguished scientist, carefully selected by the FABBS board with input from the donor, as appropriate.  The speaker will receive an award during the program, typically involving a plaque as well as a sum of money.  The event will be posted on the FABBS website in text as well as in video format, and DVD copies of the program will be made available.  Details of the lecture series will be arranged in conversation with the donor, or donating organization, and relevant FABBS board members to ensure that the goals are met for all parties involved.

Guidelines for the Acceptance of Corporate Donations
In order to facilitate the donation process, we have created some guidelines that will help to reduce potential conflicts.

FABBS will not accept any gift that:

  1. Obligates FABBS to undertake responsibilities, financial or otherwise, which FABBS might not be capable of meeting.
  2. Creates a conflict of interest for FABBS.
  3. Directly or indirectly financially benefits particular individuals designated by the donor.
  4. Is not in the best interests of FABBS.
