FABBS looks for opportunities to host events that highlight our sciences and their contributions to a range of challenges facing the nation.
Events may be held on Capitol Hill to raise awareness about our sciences with Congressional staff. Alternatively, FABBS may organize events with federal science administrators to discuss opportunities for moving forward important areas of science.

On May 7, 2013, the Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) sponsored the 19th Annual Exhibition and Reception on Capitol Hill to highlight the wide range of scientific research funded by the National Science Foundation.
FABBS invited Dr. Rebecca Saxe of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to share her research on the "Development of Brain Regions for Theory of Mind" with guests. During the exhibition, Dr. Saxe shared her work with many individuals including Reps. Eddie Bernice Johnson, Paul Tonko, Chaka Fattah, Howard Coble and Dr. Cora Marrett, Director of the National Science Foundation.
