FABBS Foundation to Participate in "Science on the Mall"
Playing video games, driving a car, flying a plane – how do the limits of the mind interfere with peak performance?
Find out at “Where Science Meets the Mind,” the FABBS Foundation’s booth at the USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo, the nation’s first-ever national science festival.
With assistance from graduate students at George Mason University’s Human Factors and Applied Cognition Program, the Foundation’s booth will be geared toward pre-teens and teens and offer fun and interactive demos to show participants how they can reduce errors and improve performance.
In all, there will be more than 1,500 hands-on science activities and up to 75 stage shows and performances at the Expo, a free event aimed at inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers.
The Expo is scheduled for October 23-24, 2010, on the National Mall. It culminates the two-week Festival, hosted by Lockheed Martin and in collaboration with more than 500 of the nation’s leading science organizations.
The FABBS Foundation’s booth can be found in Section NM-6, between 4th and 7th Streets, NW.
