FABBS Foundation Welcomes New Officers to the Board of Directors

On January 1, 2014, the FABBS Foundation will officially welcome Don Foss as President-Elect and Bruce Overmier as Treasurer of the FABBS Foundation. 

Don Foss will serve a two-year term as President-Elect, after having served as an At-Large Member of the FABBS Foundation Board. 

Foss is Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Houston. His research has been in cognitive psychology with a focus on language comprehension. His most recent work has concentrated on studying factors that determine success in college and identifying strategies to help students apply them early in their college careers.

Bruce Overmier will serve a two-year term as Treasurer of the FABBS Foundation. Overmier has been serving as Treasurer for the FABBS Foundation and FABBS, completing the terms of his predecessor. He was also elected to continue his service as Treasurer for FABBS.

Overmier is Professor of Psychology at the University of Minnesota and serves on the graduate faculties of psychology, neuroscience, psychoneuroimmunology, and cognitive science. Overmier’s research interests span the specialties of learning, memory, stress, psychosomatic disorders, and their biological substrates.
