Hauser to Serve as Executive Director of DBASSE

hauser_rober.jpgRalph Cicerone, President of the National Academy of Sciences, announced on February 22, 2011, that Robert Hauser has been appointed Executive Director of the National Research Council’s Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education (DBASSE).

Dr. Hauser has served as Interim Executive Director for the past six months. He has been a member of the National Academy of Sciences since 1983. Prior to his arrival at the NRC, Hauser spent forty-one years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was Professor of Sociology and founder of the Center for Demography of Health and Aging.
