Surveys in 2005 and 2012 by the Federal Demonstration Partnership revealed that Federal awardees are spending approximately 42% of their available research time on administrative duties associated with federal research funding. In order to develop recommendations on appropriate administrative workload, the Task Force on Administrative Burdens created by the National Science Board is seeking recommendations from federally supported investigators at U.S. colleges, universities and non-profit institutions.

Responses are due by May 24, 2013. The questionnaire and instructions on how to submit an anonymized response are available on the NSB website.
