NIH Announces New OppNet Funding Opportunities
In 2009, NIH launched OppNet to advance understanding of the basic mechanisms of social and behavior processes relevant to NIH agencies and current public health challenges. Twenty-four Institutes and Center and five programs within the Office of the Director are participating. NIH has pledged $120 million for OPPNET over five years. Twelve million dollars was set aside for FY 2010 which ends September 30, 2010.
Announcements about new OppNet funding in FY 2011 are rolling out now. Ten new RFA’s are expected under OppNet for the coming year, three of which have been posted.
