NRC Leader to Become Dean at George Washington University
Michael Feuer, Executive Director of the National Research Council’s Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education, part of the National Academies, has been named Dean of the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development. He will begin his new role on September 1, 2010.
Dr. Feuer joined the NRC in 1993, becoming the first Director of their Center for Education and the founding director of the Board on Testing and Assessment. In his role as head of DBASSE, he oversees a broad range of studies “that advance the frontiers of the behavioral and social sciences and their application to public policy.” We wish him well in his new position.
