The FABBS Foundation advanced the names of two scientists to join the Nifty Fifty at the 2014 USA Science and Engineering Festival. The festival’s goal is to get kids excited about science and engineering, and the Nifty Fifty is an “elite group of scientists, engineers, and innovators," who will engage young people around the country in hands-on demonstrations of science. The elite group includes scientists such as NIH Director Francis Collins and other NIH Institute directors.

Cognitive neuroscientist Morton Ann Gernsbacher (University of Wisconsin) and human factors researcher Wendy Rogers (Georgia Tech) were selected to participate in the Nifty Fifty and will help promote science to kids leading up to the April 26-27, 2014 science festival in Washington, DC.
